ASC’s Statement on COVID-19
Austin Sunshine Camps was proud to return to in-person camp programming in 2021, and we are committed to continuing to provide safe, in-person programming for campers in summer 2022. We are working diligently to prepare our facilities, procedures, and policies in order to ensure that campers, staff, and families feel confident in another safe, fun experience at camp in 2022. With that being said, before applying to a position to ASC, it’s important for you to be aware of the following things:
If necessary, summer staff should be prepared to self-quarantine before camp arrival, take a COVID test upon arrival at camp, wear masks during camp activities, daily temperature checks, remain on camp property during breaks, become vaccinated, and any other safety policies that will be put in place before summer 2022. We will communicate frequently and openly about all of these things as summer approaches.

The camp counselor is the reason a camper will have the time of their life at camp. The counselors strive to bring the best versions of themselves to camp every single day, creating a sense of awe amongst their campers with their energy, joy, and a sense of belonging. Camp counselors are the guiding force for our camper’s time at summer camp, and at Austin Sunshine Camps they are passionate about fulfilling our vision for each one of the kids in their cabin. Camp director
The most critical role of the Camp Director is to effectively manage and instill a sense of belonging among camp staff, including empowering the staff and campers to be the best version of themselves, every single day. The Camp Director drives camp culture, ensuring we are building an intentional community for campers that allows for connection, and builds a space with unbridled creativity and growth that is filled with exploration and fun! Kitchen assistant
We are looking for a food WIZARD: assist the kitchen manager in preparing delicious and nutritious meals, three times a day, while maintaining a strict budget! We know it can be done!
