The Camper Ambassador Program (CAP) is a year-round program for 10-15 year old campers and a parent/guardian, compromised of day camp and weekend family camp experiences. The CAP program is dedicated to grow and strengthen the relationship
between Austin Sunshine Camps and the families that are served through our summer camp.
Provide programming during the school year that helps strengthen our relationships with campers and their families. Provide opportunities for select summer campers to become leaders, or Camper Ambassadors.

ASC will provide 6 hours of high-quality programming to campers that are led by ASC Staff and Counselors-In-Training
CAPs will learn how to be leaders amongst their peers
Activities will support how CAPs will be ambassadors of SHINE values while at camp
ASC will provide 10 hours of high-quality programming to campers and their guardian that are led by ASC Staff and Counselor-In-Training
Guardians will experience the day in the life of a camper by participating in engaging camp-like activities
Activities will support how CAPs and their guardian can bring SHINE values into their everyday life

The Camper Ambassador Program is a selection only program. Campers will be selected by:
Participants in the CAP will play an important role while at camp. Each camper will be invited to participate in Weekend Camp. Weekend Camp is Austin Sunshine Camp’s kickoff to Summer Camp. While at camp, each CAP camper will be a leader in their cabin. They will be a support for their peers as well as a model of Austin Sunshine Camp’s SHINE Values.
