Austin Sunshine Camps gratefully acknowledges the hundreds of generous donors (financial and in-kind) who have supported our mission.

We are honored to have you in the ASC family.

A Message from the austin sunshine camps CEO

It has been an exciting year here at Austin Sunshine Camps!  With the addition of new, rock star team members and the launch of two new programs, we feel primed and ready to accomplish our 2018-2021 strategic goals:

(1) Commit to our Core
(2) Become Financially Sustainable
(3) Serve 1,350 Campers Each Summer by 2020

In order to achieve our goals, we must remain laser focused on impact and implementation.  What are we trying to accomplish, why is it important and how are we going to accomplish it?
For us, the answer is rooted in our culture, a word that takes on a whole new meaning in an environment as rich as camp.

A Message from the YOUNG MEN'S BUSINESS LEAGUE and austin sunshine camps President

Since founding the Austin Sunshine Camps (ASC) in 1928, generations of Young Men’s Business League of Austin (YMBL) members have committed their philanthropy, financial and physical/mental energies. As 2019 YMBL and ASC Board President, I was proud to steward such an important legacy. Through a strong individual fundraising season, raising nearly $350,000, our members helped send 1,093 kids to camp. This was a significant milestone as it was the most kids ever served by ASC, and puts us firmly on track to serve 1,350 kids by 2021. Beyond YMBL’s fundraising campaign, our members spent countless hours planning and producing events such as the Austin Under 40 Awards, Sunshine Run, and our annual golf tournament, with net proceeds going to ASC. Most importantly, YMBL members logged over 1,000 hours volunteering with campers from arranging pick-ups, Carnival Night and Canoe Night (to name a few). Engaging directly with our campers is one of the most impactful and rewarding experiences for both parties. On behalf of the YMBL and ASC boards, and the YMBL membership, thank you for all your past, present and future support!

– A.J. Bingham, Young Men’s Business League and Austin Sunshine Camps 2019 President

Stakeholder Update & Appreciation Breakfast

  • 8:30-10:00 AM
  • Zilker Lodge

Zilker Lodge Rental Program

A special thanks to the IBM Summer of Service team that donated their time and marketing talents to help us with a new logo and branding, social media strategy, and a website makeover.

"We are so grateful for the partnership we have with Austin Sunshine Camps. As a non-profit who cares for the healthcare needs of children of Central Texas, we love knowing that when we book space for an event or retreat, the funds will go to serve some of these same children. It’s a win-win for us. Besides, Zilker Lodge is fantastic! It’s like a little secret in the center of Austin. The central location makes it easy for folks to get to it during the workday for shorter gatherings. When you are inside, you see the beauty of nature through the windows, enjoy the cozy feel of a mountain lodge by the fire, and have all the current AV needs for any setup. The staff have been so supportive, helping us feel comfortable and welcomed as if to their own home. This is my go-to venue for anything Austin."
