As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Austin Sunshine Camps are continuously in need of support. Whether monetary donations, in-kind donations, or volunteering of time, your support is very much appreciated.

Corpoate & Foundation Donations

We need your help. The Austin Sunshine Camp program is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Our budget is completely funded by the annual contributions of private businesses, foundations, and individuals.

In addition to our $350,000+ annual operating budget, several further funding goals have been identified. A recent independent evaluation by Dr. Peter A. Witt, the Elda K. Bradberry Recreation and Youth Development Chair at Texas A&M University , highlighted three initiatives we must undertake in order to ensure the continued success of the Sunshine Camp Program. These are:

  • Expansion of the Sunrise Leadership Program to be able to offer more youth the ben efits and advantages it provides;
  • Renovation of camp facilities and placement of permanent maintenance staff;
  • Addition of data gathering and tracking to ensure that camp outreach efforts can respond better to changes in Austin 's socioeconomic / population trends.

$50 Buys school supplies for one leadership member
$75 Sponsors one Junior Senior Night
$100 Sponsors Dinner for one Tutoring Session
$300 Sponsor a kid at the Zilker or Lake Travis Camp

The Austin Sunshine Camp Leadership Program is always in need of school materials for the kids as well as donations of time or money for program activities. Please contact Margaret Marucci if you have any of the following items:
